As a firm specialising in contested probate, very often the most important task is to obtain a copy of a will.
If probate has been issued, a will does become a public document, which means that anyone can obtain both a copy of the will as well as the grant of probate, which will show the name of the executor, the net estate as the person who has applied for probate ( found at the bottom left of the grant it will state extracted personally if a personal application or the name of the solicitor )
Obtaining a copy of a grant is now much easier following the introduction of an online service which enables wills to be purchased online via the governments website – which can be found by clicking here
