We regularly help Executors, lawyers and Administrators from the all States in Australia ( particularly NSW, Victoria and Queensland ) with Resealing probate applications in the UK.
Typically, we find that the need for resealing arises when the Deceased will have left assets in the UK such as a bank account, shares, property or pension funds. If this is the case the financial provider, will only release the UK assets after the Australian Grant of probate or Letters of Administration have been formerly resealed in the UK by our Courts.
The documents we would need
To undertake the reseal application we would require a Court sealed copy of the Grant issued in Australia, together with death certificate, details of the assets to be collected and a letter of authority from the executors or administrators. In addition, we would also require ID from those applying.
